Prince Andrew is reportedly planning his royal comeback after having several secret night meetings with his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

Andrew took a step back from public life as a royal last year due to allegations surrounding his friendship with the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Despite the fact that Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein’s alleged former sex slave, has claimed she was forced to have sex with Andrew three times when she was an underage 17 year-old, the royal is reportedly confidant that he will be cleared of any wrongdoing.

Andrew, 60, reportedly held his latest after dark meeting with the Queen at Windsor Castle last Tuesday.

“This looked like a deliberate attempt not to be seen,” an insider told The Sun.

Andrew stepped back from royal life last November after his “car crash” Newsnight interview about the Epstein allegations. Though he has repeatedly denied ever having sex with Giuffre, Andrew will still likely be featured heavily in the trial of Epstein’s alleged former madam Ghislaine Maxwell next July.

Palace officials have denied that any formal talks about a return to royal life for Andrew have taken place.

“What he wants and what the family are prepared to discuss are probably at odds,” the source said.

While Andrew feels he can still help “support the monarchy,” a source told The Mirror that there is “zero chance” of him returning to his former role.

“Whatever the Duke (of York) may think his future looks like, he should be under no illusion that view is not shared by the people who actually make the decisions within the family,” this insider said. “There is no way of him ever returning to front line duties and he will remain very much on the outside.”

Though the Queen is said to be sympathetic to Andrew, Prince Charles and Prince William are reportedly “united” in the belief that he should be kept out of the public eye as much as possible. Charles and William also feel “completely dismayed” about Andrew’s decision to participate in the Newsnight interview in the first place, as they believe he “signed away his career” in doing so.

“Andrew would do well to keep his head down while the rest of the family carries on with the business in hand,” one royal source said.
