Back in July, fans of the long-running reality television show “Dancing With The Stars” were shocked when hosts Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron were abruptly fired and replaced by the supermodel Tyra Banks. Now, months later, Andrews is revealing what she is focusing her energy on going into the holiday season.

“Because this year has been so crazy for everyone, I love the idea of giving the gift of calming down and chilling out,” Andrews, 42, told Page Six. “I’ve been doing the 21 Days of Calm on the Calm app and it’s been really great. I love to listen to meditation and sleep music while getting ready for bed.”

She has even found a way to make this holiday special despite the fact that seeing loved ones is difficult amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

“It’ll be the first year of my life not being physically together with my family, so I guess the new tradition this year is that we’re going virtual,” Andrews said. “My phone will be on a charger 24/7 because we’ll be FaceTiming each other all day long.”

This year, the ESPN host is leaning more towards presents that are related to fitness when it comes to gifts for her loved ones.

“Since it’s hard for my loved ones to get out to be active and go to the gym right now I’m planning on gifting things to help with their at-home fitness goals,” Andrews said. “Anything to add to their at-home gyms or fitness routines to help keep them sane.”

She also has a special gift already lined up for her beloved golden retriever.

“As for Howie, I’m getting him a brand new bed to go in my new renovated office space,” Andrews said.

This comes after Andrews revealed how she first learned that she had been fired from “Dancing With The Stars.”

“I didn’t have much time to deal with it, I got a phone call, we were on the putting green with my dog and my husband [Jarret Stoll] and I got a call that said, you know, so and so from ABC wants to talk to you, and I was like… oh, s–t, like this is it, and so, yeah, you know, I felt sorry for myself and I kind of was like, this is a terrible time to lose my job because you know, we don’t know when live television is coming back… these are hard jobs to get, primetime shows,” Andrews explained.

“I mean, you know, nobody wants to be let go when it’s not on their terms,” she added. “But, I do think there’s something on the horizon. I’m definitely working my people to find something and put something on the horizon. I really enjoyed being in that space and I think I’m somebody that, you know, as much as I do love sports — I’m a fan of a lot of things, reality TV, I’m just a fan of TV and so I think that’s why ‘Dancing’ was a great fit for me, because, you know, it was live you didn’t know what was going to happen.”
