Hollywood star Brad Pitt just showed the world what a classy and caring person he is offscreen when he was spotted quietly hand-delivering boxes of groceries to low-income families in a Los Angeles housing project this week amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Daily Mail reported that the 56 year-old Academy Award-winner was seen handing out boxes of food to crowds of people who needed them. He was also spotted driving a delivery truck that was being used to transport the products.

Since Pitt was wearing a face mask and casual jeans with a flannel shirt, many people didn’t even recognize the A-list star! Given his laid-back nature, however, this was probably exactly how Pitt wanted it.

One witness said that the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star was working non-stop to unload and deliver boxes to those waiting in long lines.

“Brad really did seem like a hero. The man did not stop all day. Just seeing him driving a big truck in South Central LA during COVID times was in itself amazing,” the source said. “He was completely committed, you could see it wasn’t a case of him turning up and showing his face.”

The insider went on to add that “his heart was in it and it was just a hat’s off moment.”

Pitt reportedly worked non-stop for four hours, only stopping to take a quick smoking break before jumping right back into it.

“He was grabbing more boxes than anyone there and then carrying probably six boxes at a time on a cart,” the source continued. “It was Brad Pitt like you’ve never seen him, with his guard totally down, laughing, joking, and chatting.”

Pitt eventually took some speakers out of the truck and began blasting upbeat music from his iPhone. Hs friend Thomas Houseago soon stopped by, and the source said that Pitt was “clearly elated to see” him.

The source also spotted Pitt talking to a brunette volunteer during his break.

“They sat there probably for 20 minutes laughing and chatting while he had another cigarette and they sipped at their drink,” the insider said.

In the end, the witness was struck by how down to earth Pitt was, even eating his lunch of scrambled eggs and mashed potatoes out of a to-go container with plastic cutlery.

“There was zero swagger,” the source said. “It wasn’t about glory, you could see he was doing it for self-satisfaction. It really felt like he was in his element.”
