The singer Miley Cyrus shocked her fans this week by revealing that one of her dogs had a terrifying accident while she was a judge on “The Voice.”

While appearing on the “Geena The Latina and Frankie V Morning Show” on Thursday, the 27 year-old singer shared the “embarrassing” story. She explained that her pet, whose name is Little Dog, was with her when she was taping “The Voice” back in 2016. During the taping of the reality television competition show, Little Dog somehow bit into a wire on the set.

“This is sad, but it was handled and my dog is totally thriving and fine,” Cyrus said. “You know on sets there’s, like, wires everywhere. We got all the people singing, everyone is huddled around, like, ‘Who’s going to win The Voice?’ And my dog goes and bites on to the wires of the TV everyone’s watching and all of a sudden, we notice she’s convulsing and she’s getting electrocuted.”

“And you can’t open her mouth because the person who’s trying to open her mouth is also being electrocuted,” she added. “But, she was totally fine.”

While Cyrus did not elaborate on how the dog was rescued, she added that Little Dog is “thriving in Nashville, Tennessee and doing great.”

This comes after Cyrus opened up about her “very public” divorce from Hollywood star Liam Hemsworth. She said the breakup “f*****g sucked” because of the “villainizing” she faced in the media after the split was made public.

“What really sucked about it wasn’t the fact that me and someone that I loved realized that we don’t love each other the way that we used to anymore,” Cyrus recalled. “That’s okay, I can accept that. I can’t accept the villainizing, and just all those stories.”

She added that the public never knew the full story when it came to her split with Hemsworth.

“It’s amazing to me the public thinks that there’s no gap of time that they didn’t see that could possibly be what led to this,” Cyrus said. “It’s not, ‘One day you were happy on the carpet and the next day you were making out with your friend in Italy, what the f**k?’ There’s a lot of time in between that you didn’t see.”
