Nicole Poturalski, the 27 year-old model girlfriend of Hollywood star Brad Pitt, is firing back at the “rude and sad” trolls who have been making hateful comments about her relationship.

Poturalski took to her Instagram story on Thursday to respond to the haters who don’t approve of her relationship with Pitt.

“I just don’t understand what goes on in the heads of such people,” Poturalski said, speaking in German.

“Why? What is your benefit? Just in general I want to understand the train of thoughts,” she added, according to Daily Mail. “Because I don’t get it. It’s just so rude and sad for those commenting.”

Poturalski and Pitt were first spotted together in November of last year. A source close to Pitt said that he is “realistic about the relationship” since she “lives in Germany” and he “has a very complicated family situation that he is trying to get sorted out.” The insider was referring to Pitt’s divorce and custody battle from his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, who he has been fighting in court since their 2016 split.

Last month, a source said that Jolie was “furious” with Pitt for bringing Poturalski to the spot in France where they got married on what would have been their sixth wedding anniversary.

“Angie is furious and utterly stunned Brad could stoop this low,” the source said. “She was highly hopeful they could dial down the intensity after a terrible summer of fighting, but now that’s totally off the table.”

Poturalski’s life is a bit complicated as well, as she is in an open marriage with 68 year-old Roland Mary, with whom she has a 1 year-old son. Pitt actually met Poturalski at the Berlin restaurant that is owned by Mary, who reportedly approves of his wife’s relationship with the actor.

“Brad Pitt first met Nicole [Poturalski] in August last year at Borchardt which is her husband Roland’s restaurant,” a friend of Poturalski’s said. “Brad Pitt has been coming to Borchardt for years. He knows Roland [Mary] and Nicole was at the restaurant when he came to celebrate his new film.”

“Roland is a very philosophical guy,” added a friend of the restaurant owner. “He has been married several times and has five children. He is not interested in negativity or jealousy. They are still married but you could describe their relationship as an ‘open marriage.'”
