The Hollywood actress Lori Loughlin is set to begin her two month prison sentence next month on charges related to her paying $500,000 in bribe money to have her two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before.

While most of the stars in Hollywood have turned their backs on Loughlin in the wake of this scandal, her former “Full House” costar Bob Saget revealed this week that he texted her a message of support immediately after she was sentenced.

“I love you and thinking of you, that’s all,” Saget told Page Six, referring to the text he sent her.

“And you know when it gets down to it, there’s so much going on and so many people have gone through so much and you know … if you love somebody then you have to make that, decision and [ask yourself] is this something that causes me not to love a person and I love her,” he added. “She’s a sweetheart.”

This comes one year after Saget said that he would not let the college admissions scandal get in the way of his friendship with Loughlin.

“I love the people I love, and people go through life, and stuff happens,” Saget said in an interview. “For a while, I was saying, ‘No comment,’ and now there’s just no point in talking about it because I’ve answered it. What I would say is, I love the people I love, and I have empathy for people that are in my life for 35 years. I don’t cut people out.”

“I’ve never had any friends growing up,” he continued. “So, I’m lucky to have any in the first place.”

During her sentencing in August, Loughlin became emotional as she addressed the judge.

“I made an awful decision. I went along will the plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process,” Loughlin said. “In doing so, I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass. I thought I was acting out of love for my children, but in reality, I had only undermined and diminished my daughters’ abilities and accomplishments.”

“While I wish I could go back and do things differently, I can only take responsibility and move forward,” she added. “I have great faith in God and I believe in redemption and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good and give back for the rest of my life.”
