The new season of “Dancing With The Stars” premiered on Monday night, with supermodel Tyra Banks replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews after they were abruptly fired back in July.

This has already backfired on the show, however, as fans made it clear during the premiere that Banks was a failure as a host compared to Bergeron, who had hosted the ABC reality television show since it premiered in 2005.

Fans were stunned when Bergeron announced that he had been fired on Twitter. Andrews, who had cohosted with him since 2014, was shown the door as well.

“ABC opted not to pick up Tom’s option. In the fine tradition of Hollywood cliches, they’re ‘Going in a different direction,’” a rep for Bergeron told Fox News at the time of the firings.

Banks had previously admitted that replacing Bergeron and Andrews would be a “challenge,” but she appeared to think she was up to the task after hosting shows like “America’s Next Top Model” and “America’s Got Talent. Unfortunately for Banks, however, this does not seem to have been the case, as fans let the world know during the premiere that she seemed to be in over her head.

“Can Tyra Banks be the first person voted off, thanks!  #dwts,” one Twitter user wrote, with another user commenting, “Tyra banks has ruined dancing with the stars..she tries to be funny but keeps falling flat…#bringtomback #DancingWiththeStars.”

“Reminder that #DWTS firing Tom & Erin was ridiculous and unnecessary, Tyra Banks is literally the worst host that’s ever existed, and Carol Baskin killed her husband. Don’t even give @DancingABC the satisfaction y’all,” another person wrote, referring to the inclusion in the cast of “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin, who many fans believe was involved in her first husband’s disappearance.

“#TyraBanks don’t quit your day job dear. Hosting DWTS is not your strength,” one user wrote. Yet another fan added, “I’m sorry but Tyra Banks is so freaking fake and annoying! why in the world would they replace Tom bergeron and Erin Andrews. She’s awful #DWTS.”

A final Twitter user commented, “Can I just say, what the heck was ABC thinking replacing Tom Bergeron with Tyra Banks on DWTS.  His wit and quick comebacks made the show interesting.  It’s so boring now I can’t stay awake.  #DWTS.”

With fans this unhappy out of the gates, Banks’ future on “Dancing With The Stars” is not looking very bright.
