Over the past few months, Prince Andrew’s past ties to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein have continued to come back to haunt him. Now, it’s been revealed that Andrew just headed to the royal Balmoral estate in the Scottish highlands to see his mother, Queen Elizabeth, after five months in quarantine amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

While royal correspondent Neil Sean confirmed to Fox News that Andrew is indeed at Balmoral, he denied rumors that he went to have a “crisis meeting” with the Queen over his ongoing Epstein scandal.

“It’s simply not true,” Sean explained. “What the real story is this: the senior members of the royal clan all get invited to Balmoral, the queen’s holiday home, each year. Last week, because of social distancing, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited. And this week that honor falls to Prince Andrew.”

Though the Queen and Andrew didn’t specifically meet to talk about crisis strategy, Sean added that they likely discussed what she can expect to read regarding the Epstein case. The expert pointed out that Andrew has always been close to the Queen, so it’s not surprising that he has reunited with her now.

However, Sean also said that a palace insider revealed to him that Andrew had admitted, “I do miss the royal life and the good things that someone in my position was able to help make viable, so hopefully one day I will be able to make a return and carry on doing good.”

This comes after Virginia Roberts Giuffre, the alleged sex slave of Jeffrey Epstein, accused Andrew of having sex with her on three separate occasions, including once when she was an underage 17 year-old. Though Andrew has denied her claims, he announced back in November that he would be stepping down from public life after a disastrous interview about his friendship with Epstein.

“It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein have become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in the many organizations and charities that I am proud to support,” he said in a statement. “Therefore, I have asked Her Majesty if I may step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and she has given her permission.”
