Over the past few weeks, Ellen DeGeneres has been accused by dozens of current and former employees of turning a blind eye to racism, intimidation, and sexual misconduct on the set of her talk show. Now, DeGeneres has revealed that she plans to address the allegations that have been made against her when her show returns on September 21.

“I can’t wait to get back to work and back to our studio. And, yes, we’re gonna talk about it,” DeGeneres, 62, said in a press release, according to Page Six.

The statement went on to list out various A-list stars who have been booked to appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in the coming weeks. These stars include Tiffany Haddish, Kerry Washington, Alec Baldwin, Chrissy Teigen, Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Adam Sandler and Orlando Bloom.

Stephen “tWitch” Boss, DeGeneres’ longtime DJ who was just promoted to executive producer, is set to guest host episodes of the show this fall, the release stated. He addressed the controversies surrounding DeGeneres last month, saying, “Obviously there’s some things to address, but from my standpoint and from countless others, there’s been love.”

It was previously reported that DeGeneres broke down last month during a Zoom call with over 200 staffers as she admitted that she is “not perfect.”

She also said that she has realized that in the effort for the show to run as a “well-oiled machine,” sometimes leaders were not as sensitive to “human beings” as they should have been.

DeGeneres reportedly went on to say that reading the disturbing allegations about the toxic atmosphere on the show was “heartbreaking.”

Despite everything that has happened, sources say that DeGeneres said many times on the call that she was “proud” of the show’s success, and that the program would “come back strong” next month.

“This will be the best season we’ve ever had,” DeGeneres said.

However, the announcement about DeGeneres’ premiere episode did not come at a good time for her either, as a former staffer who once worked in the host’s house just came forward to accuse her of mistreating employees there as well.

“My belief is that someone’s real personality comes out at home,” the former staffer told Daily Mail. “So after everything that has been said about her at work, you can imagine how terrible Ellen is going to be at home when her guard is down. Sometimes she would yell at us but it was more about the incredibly condescending tone she would use. She treated you like you were nothing.”
