Sadie Robertson has been a household name ever since she was 14 years-old, when she began starring on her family’s reality television show “Duck Dynasty.” At 17 years of age, Robertson got even more famous, as she appeared on a season of the ABC reality competition show “Dancing With The Stars.”

Many young women in Robertson’s position would have let this fame go to their heads, and end up going off the rails, but not her. Now, she is opening up about her strong Christian faith and her relationship with Jesus Christ kept her on track through every challenge that she’s faced.

“My life just dramatically changed really fast,” Robertson, 23, told Fox News. “You think about how social media affects any young person and then think about social media with millions of followers… [it] definitely will affect you in certain ways.”

She went on to add that her faith and religion helped to keep her rooted in her identity.

“Not that I didn’t struggle with insecurity and didn’t have my hard days, but I felt like I always had just a grounding, you know, to not just completely lose it,” Robertson explained.

Over the past few months, Robertson has been leaning on her faith like never before amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s definitely been a huge, huge source of hope for me,” Robertson said. “We have hope that God is still with us here, to give us strength, to give us joy, to give us peace, to make us feel loved in the midst of a time where the world is really throwing things at you.”

Robertson is trying to use her platform to help others by hosting a virtual concert for coronavirus relief featuring Christian artists and celebrities like Hillsong, Kirk Franklin, and T.D. Jakes.

“I’ve seen kids who are hungry and who are living in poverty and who can’t afford clothes, who can’t afford school, can’t afford water,” she said. “So when you see that and you’re able to see the impact that your giving can make, you become an advocate for it.”

Robertson has only been married to her husband Christian Huff, and she admits that the time together in quarantine has changed their relationship. She added that this time with one another has “really deepened our relationship.”

“I’ve just fallen more in love with Christian,” Robertson said.

While she acknowledged that they had a “a week of arguments” at the beginning, they “snapped out of it.” These days, Robertson can see that the silver lining of the chaos of 2020 is all the time she’s gotten to spend with her family.
