Sadie Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” fame just thanked her husband Christian Huff for standing by her when two men laughed at her during a vulnerable moment.

Robertson, 23, took to Instagram this week to post a photo of herself and Huff, 22, along with a touching caption.

“HUGE LOVE,” she began. “Let me tell you girls. Wait for the guy that you don’t have to stand up to, but that stands up for you.”

Robertson went on to explain what had happened.

“Long story short, I was speaking the other night and sharing a story of a time a guy really hurt me,” she said. “When I was sharing the story I started to cry because it was the first time i had ever shared this detail of what happened publicly. Then all of the sudden two guys in the room started to laugh as I was sharing the story.”

“I called them out by saying – ‘you laugh, but it’s these kind of things that ruins a girl,” Robertson added. “I quickly realized i wasn’t the only one who stood up for myself. This husband of mine took them outside, and no, did not hit them, but called them to be better men. He called them to maturity and to greatness. There are both types of guys and girls out there, and every guy and girl has the opportunity to mature and be better. Let’s not just bash people, but teach them. Let’s not just cancel people, but enlighten them. ”

You can too.

“This man is a good one,” Robertson concluded. “He will be the first to tell you he used to be like those two guys, but Jesus called him to greater and He rose to the call. You can too.”

Robertson and Huff got married back in November, and they have been very open about their relationship to the public. Earlier this year, Robertson told Fox News that Huff is “a really great man.”

“When I met Christian, his love is so sweet and so kind and so grace-filled that the times that I would be hard on myself, I would see the grace and the love he would extend to me and be like, wow, that’s real love, and that’s really a powerful thing,” she said.

“And, I’ve watched myself really walk away from that self-doubt and walk into a true confidence, because just the way that he affirms me and I look at that relationship and think about that love and that’s me and Christian, that’s human,” Robertson added. “And then, I think about what is God’s perfect love? Wow, that’s overwhelming.”

She also talked about what a typical day is like for her and Huff.

“I guess whenever we are home – if we were going to have a chill day – say it’s like a scenario, perfect chill day,” Roberson said.”We’d wake up, we’d turn on worship on our TV. We would hang out with our little dog, Cabo. We’d go play tennis for sure – for a long time. We’d make a smoothie – like, we love to chill when we chill. But, tennis is our go-to activity. That’s probably good for your mental health too. But… if it’s not a chill day, we are somewhere on the road traveling somewhere.
