Over the past few weeks, the brand of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has essentially been destroyed after she was accused of turning a blind eye to racism, intimidation, and sexual misconduct on the set of her show. Now, shock jock radio host Howard Stern is speaking out to offer DeGeneres some advice about what she should do now.

Page Six reported that Stern said that if he was in DeGeneres’ shoes, he would “change [his] whole image.”

“I’d go on the air and be a son of a bitch,” he said Monday on his radio show. “People would come on and [I would] go, ‘F–k you.’ Just be a p—k.”

“So you think I’m a p—k?” Stern added. “I’m going to show you exactly. … I’m known on the air as a p—k, but off the air, I’m known as a great guy, you know, for the most part.”

Stern and DeGeneres have been friends for years, and he even remarried his wife Beth last year on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” He added to his “rebranding” suggestion by saying that he thinks DeGeneres should try and work things out with her staff first.

He added that among his staffers is a writer who’s been late to work “900 times” without recrimination and that the backlash over the claims of a toxic culture at “Ellen” has caused him to re-evaluate his own show.

“You know who’s abused in my workplace?” he asked. “Me.”

The backlash has gotten so bad against DeGeneres that reports have come in that indicate that she has had enough and wants to quit.

“She feels she can’t go on and the only way to recover her personal brand from this is to shut down the show,” an insider with Telepictures told Daily Mail. “The truth is she knew what was going on, it’s her show. The buck stops with her. She can blame every executive under the sun – but Ellen is ultimately the one to blame.”

“Inside Telepictures we’ve had enough of her. She is a phony who does not practice what she preaches,” the source added. “The behavior of her show executives has been appalling, but [Ellen] is no better. In fact, she is the worst. It’s outrageous that she is trying to pretend that this is all a shock to her. The fish rots from the head, and Ellen is the head.”
