A chilling video is going viral this week showing the moment a 29 year-old pop star was killed after his car was hit by a training while he was trying to drive across the tracks.

The U.K. Mirror reported that Tavy Pustiu, a pop star from Romania, was live streaming with his followers when his car was struck by a train. He was listening to loud music when the train plowed into the passenger side door, killing him instantly and leaving his wife fighting for her life.

The video opens with Pustiu listening to loud manele music, a type of pop-folk music popular in Romania. As he bopped his head to the music, Pustiu could be seen looking deeply into the camera lens as he smoked a cigarette.

The livestream shows his wife driving towards a level crossing in the city of Ploiesti, which is located in Romania’s Prahova County. At one point, Pustiu’s wife could be seen looking left and right at the railroad crossing, but she somehow failed to see the train hurdling towards them. The last thing the video shows is Pustiu screaming as he notices the train and looks around in horror just before it hits.

The train ended up hitting the white Ford Fiesta, setting both airbags off and completely crumpling the side of the car that Pustiu was sitting on.

“As a result of a collision between a train and a car on the level crossing a 29-year-old man who was the passenger in the front of the car was declared dead and a 24-year-old woman who was the driver was injured,” a spokesperson for the local police department said. “The accident happened because of non-compliance with the rules at the level crossing.”

The spokesperson went on to say that the train had been travelling between Maneciu and Ploiesti Sud and that it had been difficult for firemen to remove Pustiu and his wife from the wreckage.

Pustiu’s wife, whose name has not been released, remains in critical condition and is on life support at the Prahova County Hospital after the accident.

Just one month before his death, Pustiu wrote on Facebook to his followers, “One day, the wrong train will take you to the right destination.”
