A bombshell new book is claiming that Prince William warned his younger brother Prince Harry to slow things down with Meghan Markle after they started dating because he feared that he was “blindsided by lust.”

Fox News reported that this was alleged in the new book “Finding Freedom,” by royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. They claimed that Harry was “angered” by “what he perceived as William’s snobby tone in a discussion about the American actress when they were dating.” They said that Harry was furious over William’s advice to “take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.”

A source close to William said that he feared Harry was “blindsided by lust” during his whirlwind romance with the American actress. Harry, however, felt that he “no longer felt as though he needed looking after” and took William’s advice badly.

“In those last two words, ‘this girl,’ Harry heard the tone of snobbishness that was anathema to his approach to the world,” an excerpt from the book claimed, adding that Harry spent ten years in the military and “outside the royal bubble.”

“Also, to remove Meghan from the equation, Harry was tired of the dynamic that had become established between him and his older brother,” the authors alleged.

William was not the only one with concerns over Harry and Meghan’s relationship, however, as one senior courtier allegedly told a colleague, “There’s just something about [Meghan] I don’t trust.” Another courtier even called Meghan “Harry’s showgirl,” the book claims.

The book is not particularly kind to Kate Middleton either, as it claims that she did little to help Meghan adjust to royal life.

“Though it was not necessarily her responsibility, Kate did little to bridge the divide,” the authors wrote. “She was fiercely loyal to her husband and his family. Once Harry and Meghan were married, the gap between the brothers only widened.”

“William and Kate’s feelings seemed obvious to the Sussexes that summer and beyond,” they added. “Among all the friends and family Harry and Meghan hosted at their house in Oxfordshire between May 2018 and March 2019, the Cambridges failed to visit.”

The royal family has been in panic mode over this book, with palace sources telling Daily Mail that the book will reveal everything about the “pressure cooker” of anger and resentment that Harry and Meghan have built up over time.

“Regardless of the truth, it will make headlines worldwide and give a fulsome airing to the Sussexes’ long list of grievances, yet again,” one source said.

Another insider warned that everyone should expect the book to tell of a “revisionist version of events surrounding their engagement, marriage and their short time as a senior royal couple.”

“It’s going to be the gospel according to Meghan and Harry, so to speak,” this source said. “Everything that has happened in terms of Megxit will be seen through the prism of their take on events. What it’s unlikely to reveal, however, is how it subsequently emerged that Harry and Meghan had been quietly plotting their ‘exit’ from the Royal Family for at least nine months before they finally announced their decision to quit in January this year.”
