Meghan Markle is reportedly running for president of the United States, according to one royal expert at least.

The U.K. Mirror reported that royal commentator Beverly Turner claimed to have it on “good authority” that Meghan is planning to run for office. While she said she did not know exactly when Meghan plans to run, she added that it might be in the not so distant future.

“She will run for President, I have no doubt about it,” Turner said. “I have no doubt, I think this is all part of the plan. It may not be very soon but it will be.”

Turner said this to television host Jeremy Vine, who skeptically replied that this was the “first time I have ever heard anyone say that.” The royal commentator, however, stood by her claim.

“I have it on fairly good authority that she would like to run for President,” Turner said. “There may be worse Presidents, I would like to see a mixed-race woman in the White House, I would.”

“I don’t know whether woke wins elections, that is the problem here,” Vine responded, to which she said, “What do you mean by woke? Opinionated?”

“Woke is not aligning with where consensus is now, I suppose that is the thing,” he explained.

This is not the first time a royal expert has said that Meghan is planning a presidential run. Last month, Lady Colin Campbell said the same thing about the wife of Prince Harry.

“I know the Duchess of Sussex has political ambitions and I’ve been told that one day she wants to run for President,” Campbell told Daily Mail. “I think everything she is doing, leaving the royal family and moving back to California is part of her plan and she has taken Harry along with her.”

Campbell also said that Meghan was the “driving force” behind the decision for her and Harry to leave the royal family.

“If you listen to their engagement tape they both state she’s been treated very well, she’s been welcomed with open arms and they can’t wait for her to become a working member of the royal family and she said she wanted to hit the ground running,” she claimed. “It did not work out for Meghan the way she thought it would… Meghan did not make the adjustment she should have and could have, and she is the one in my opinion [who drove the departure].”
