Weeks after Meghan Markle’s former best friend Jessica Mulroney was involved in a “white privilege” scandal that left the royal “mortified,” an insider is saying that Meghan has officially cut ties with her so that she can look “woke.”

This rejection from Meghan has reportedly sent Mulroney into full panic mode, as she now fears her career as a stylist may be ruined forever.

“Jessica’s team have made it clear that she feels completely ditched by Meghan and fears she is going to cut her out of her life for good,” a source close to the situation told The Sun. 

“She’s completely distraught and devastated because Meghan has done nothing to stand up for her publicly. Jessica is terrified she will never work again.”

“Meghan has forsaken her most loyal friend just to look woke,” the source added.

This comes after black beauty influencer Sasha Exeter claimed that Mulroney threatened to destroy her career and to sue her after she posted a “call to action” urging her followers to express support for Black Lives Matter.

Though she mentioned nobody by name, Mulroney seemed to think the post was directed at her.

Exeter described Mulroney’s threats against her as being “an attempt to silence a black woman during this movement behind closed doors.”

“She was stupid and tone deaf but she’s definitely not racist,” a source close to Mulroney said.

Mulroney even referenced Meghan in her apology to Exeter, which she posted on Instagram, writing, “I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and centre.”

This apology did nothing to save Mulroney’s career, however, as she was fired from her gig on “Good Morning America” and saw her upcoming reality show “I Do, Redo” be cancelled.

“She is losing so much work from brands who loved her connection to Meghan in the past but now feels she has become toxic,” an insider said. 

“All it would take is for Meghan to go out on a shopping trip with Jessica to show she still has her support. But the clear indication is that there’s not going to be any show of support like that.”

“It’s a brutal blow after a ten-year friendship. Jessica has been there for Meghan through thick and thin,” the source added.

Mulroney and Meghan became friends a decade ago, when the future royal was shooting the television show “Suits” in Toronto, Canada.

After Meghan became engaged to Prince Harry, Mulroney became her “unofficial wedding planner,” and all three of her children took part in the ceremony.

Meghan has become slightly infamous for ghosting people from her past, and it appears that Mulroney might be in for the same treatment.

One source, however, thinks she might still have a chance at redemption.

“When Meghan makes a decision to ghost someone she doesn’t usually go back,” the source said. 

“But, when it comes to Jessica, hopefully she has learnt her lesson from the past and realizes that it’s not a great idea. Jessica knows all her secrets and everything she’s been through. This is not someone she wants to make an enemy of at this time.”
