It’s been just over a week since Hollywood star John Travolta revealed that his actress wife Kelly Preston had passed away at the age of 57 after a battle with breast cancer Now, Travolta’s “Die Hart” costar Kevin Hart is speaking out to offer him his condolences.

“I’ve known John for a while, this is my first time working with him. We’re extremely lucky to have John Travolta be a part of this project. The man is a legend and anything he touches is gold. So for us to be able to say that we worked with him in general in our career is a massive moment,” Hart told Yahoo News. “Our hearts go out to him and his family. At this time I think it’s about him and his space and the time with his loved ones.”

Hart gave this interview to promote his new Quibi show “Die Hart,” in which he plays a fictional version of himself trying to find success in Hollywood as a comedian-turned-action star. In the show, Travolta portrays the unstable head of an acting boot camp that aims to train actors to appear in action movies.

This comes after Travolta revealed on July 12 that Preston had died, an announcement that shocked their fans because it had not been made public that she was even sick.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many,” Travolta wrote on Instagram. “My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side.”

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.  My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.  But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT
