French Princess Hermine de Clermont-Tonnerre has tragically passed away from injuries that she suffered in a motorcycle crash. She was 54 years-old.

Fox News reported that the French socialite died on July 3 after being in a coma for a month after the motorcycle accident.

“Hermine de Clermont-Tonnerre, born in 1966, has just left us after a month of coma in the Kremlin Bicetre hospital following a tragic motorcycle accident. She died surrounded by her whole family,” her family said in a statement.

Born in France, the princess was the daughter of Duke Charles Henri of Clermont-Tonnerre and Anne Moranville. She was known for her love of motorcycles, and she had “a weakness for Hells Angels and Harley-Davidson without worrying about the eyes of others,” according to the French publication Point De Vue.

The princess initially worked as a stylist at Dior before launching a career at Point De Vue as a journalist in the 1990s. She was previously married to French businessman Alastair Cuddeford and leaves behind two children, Allegra and Calixte.

A press release stated that the princess had an uncanny ability to light up any room that she was in.

“All her family and friends will keep from Hermine the memory of a great lady with a big heart who always had time for others,” the release stated. “It was enough that she entered a party to change the atmosphere and energize all the assistance. She will remain as a reference for the end of the XXth century of an art of living.”

The statement added that the princess “transported you with a joy and kindness” that will not be forgotten.

During her lifetime, the princess wrote seven novels and appeared on several television shows, including “Fear Factor” and “La Ferme Celebrites en Afrique.”

The New York Post reported that immediately after her motorcycle crash, French pop singer Jean-Luc Lahaye talked about the princess, who he was related to.

“She is a girl that I adore, a faithful friend, very joyful, an extraordinary character,” he said.

After her death, Lahaye took to Facebook to pay tribute to her.

“Bye my lovely princess! You will forever be in my heart,” Zaniroli wrote. “You are the soul and spirit of the Rally of Princesses forever! We had fun, had a good laugh! I love you and my heart is bleeding today.”
