During a new interview alongside his fiancée Francie Frane, Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman broke down sobbing as he said he would have wanted his late wife Beth to move on with another man if he’d been the one to die instead of her.

The 67 year-old bounty hunter struggled to hold back tears as he told interview Katie Souza, “Let’s put it like – what if it was Dog that died? And what if it was Beth who met a Christian man that spoke in a heavenly language? And loved her as much as I did and owned an airplane? What would I say?”

“And what if he said, ‘Dog, you are in Heaven and I would take care of her and I would love her as much as you did,'” Dog continued. “I would say, ‘Beth, you better not lose this one.’ I would say that, of course, fans love Beth – Beth will always be in my heart and Francie by my side.

“She’s not another Mrs. Dog, she’s Francie Chapman,” he added, according to The Sun.

Dog also recently talked about his upcoming spinoff series that will focus on his loved ones and on his bounty hunting. His last show had been “Dog’s Most Wanted,” which aired on WGN.

“The last network was Dog’s Most Wanted with WGN. We broke all records. I’m not just saying, ‘Dog! Dog!’ Not me, the family,” Dog said. “It was about Beth and her final days. Now, we have the show. We’re all back together.”

“Because when a tragedy like that happens in your family, you gotta pull together. So, it’s called Dog’s Dirty Dozen,'” he continued. “We can barely do arrests with the virus right now, so Hollywood’s shut down. Once it opens up, we’re coming back.”

Dog’s late wife Beth tragically passed away in June of 2019 following a battle with throat and lung cancer. Frane, who is a rancher from Colorado, lost her husband to cancer around that same time, and she and Dog quickly bonded over their shared grief. They became engaged earlier this year, and Dog has stood by the new relationship.

After announcing that he had asked Frane to marry him, Dog told TMZ that “it’s just incredible that I’ve been able to meet someone like her.”

“Well, she for a living she’s a rancher and she has recently lost her husband to cancer, six months before I lost Beth,” he added. “So we like hooked up on the phone and started you know, talking to each other, crying, consoling each other.”
