Over the past few weeks, anti-police tensions have spread through the United States like wildfire in the wake of the death of George Floyd. Now, a video is going viral that has Americans divided once again, with this one being about a Georgia cop’s recent experience at McDonald’s.

The New York Post reported that the video is of an officer who identifies herself only as Stacy, and she says she has been on the force for 15 years. In the video, Stacy becomes emotional as she reveals she’s “too nervous” to accept her food order after experiencing delays in a McDonald’s drive-thru in Richmond Hill, just outside of Savannah.

Stacy had ordered hash browns and a coffee from her mobile phone, but when she got to the drive-thru, the order was not ready yet.

“I hadn’t eaten in a while so I was kind of hungry,” a visibly-emotional Stacy said in the video. “So I’m still waiting and I’m still waiting.”

After waiting for quite awhile, the officer was told to “pull up” because the hash browns still were not ready. When an employee finally came out to her car, the worker only brought her the coffee she had ordered.

“I said ‘don’t bother with the food because right now I’m too nervous to take it,’” Stacy said. “It doesn’t matter how many hours I’ve been up. It doesn’t matter what I’ve done for anyone. Right now I’m too nervous to take a meal from McDonald’s because I can’t see it being made.”

The officer went on to urge Americans to give cops a “break” as law enforcement personnel all over the country continue to be hit with backlash for the death of Floyd, who died in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“I don’t know what’s going on with people nowadays, but please, just give us a break. Please just give us a break,” she said. “I don’t know how much more I can take.”

The video has quickly gone viral, being viewed over three million times on Twitter. Some have rushed to Stacy’s defense, including the Twitter user who initially posted the video.

“Stacey who has been a cop for 15 yrs went to  @McDonalds She paid for it in advance and this is how she gets treated for being a cop … Come on America. We are better than this,” the user captioned the footage.

Others, however, have dubbed Stacy “Officer Karen” and have been mocking her online for the video.

“Black people are worried about getting killed in their sleep and cops are having nervous breakdowns about hash browns,” wrote one Twitter user. “Police officers need to be able to handle high pressure, life or death situations, and Stacey has gone viral because her McMuffin was late.”
