An update has just come in about how Queen Elizabeth is doing in quarantine amidst the coronavirus pandemic, and it seems that she is staying “in excellent spirits” as she enjoys time with her husband in isolation.

The Queen, 94, has been in quarantine with her 98 year-old husband Prince Philip at Windsor Castle since just before the Easter holiday.

Despite everything that’s happening in the world, sources say that the Queen has maintained a positive attitude.

“One of the nicest things for the queen is that she is getting to spend more time with her husband than she usually would,” a friend told Vanity Fair

“They have dinner together in the evenings and I imagine the queen is of the generation where she dresses for dinner. She is riding out every day and is making the most of this time.”

Palace aides also spoke out to confirm that the Queen still holds her weekly phone call with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who tested positive for COVID-19 and managed to beat it last month.

Another insider said that the Queen is “in excellent spirits” as she spends most of her time riding horses around her property.

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, the Queen has given various addresses to offer messages of hope to the world. Most recently, she gave a speech on VE Day, marking the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, telling the public to “never give up.”

“At the start, the outlook seemed bleak, the end distant, the outcome uncertain. But we kept faith that the cause was right — and this belief, as my father noted in his broadcast, carried us through,” the Queen said. “Never give up, never despair — that was the message of VE Day.”

The Queen went on to say that this year’s VE Day feels different because of the coronavirus pandemic that has swept the globe.

“Today it may seem hard that we cannot mark this special anniversary as we would wish,” she said.

“Instead, we remember from our homes and our doorsteps. But our streets are not empty; they are filled with the love and the care that we have for each other.”

“When I look at our country today and see what we are willing to do to protect and support one another, I say with pride that we are still a nation those brave soldiers, sailors and airmen would recognize and admire,” the Queen added.
