Though many initially thought it was Meghan who was the mastermind behind the move that has been dubbed “Megxit,” sources are now saying that it was Harry who was the real driving force behind it.

Sources told The Sun that Harry actually hates the term “Megxit” because it implies that Meghan was the person who made sure it happened.

“That word ‘Megxit’ in particular has always angered Prince Harry. It gives the impression that the decision to walk away from the Royal Family was Meghan’s,” a source said. “The reality is Harry drove that decision. The book will make that clear and explain why it had to happen.”

“He wanted to move in the direction that they did and had been considering it for more than a year,” the insider continued. “Meghan supported Harry’s decision. But there was more than one occasion where she asked him if he was certain it was what he wanted. And she always made it clear she would support him in whatever he did.”

The “book” that the above source was referring to is “Finding Freedom,” penned by co-authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie. This book will reportedly detail the decision-making process that Harry and Meghan went through.

“The book — as the very woke title suggests — is very much about the ‘journey’ Meghan and Harry are embarking on,” the source explained. “It will focus closely on the causes Meghan and Harry want to focus on, and the new life they are leading.”

Scobie has said that the book will give an inside account of Harry and Meghan’s story.

“I’ve been on so many engagements and around them as much as possible, and spoken to so many people in their lives, so no stone has been left un-turned,” he said. “I’ve seen the couple remain faithful in their own beliefs and stand strong in the face of adversities which have been publicly played out in the press, and I would like to think this tells the definitive version of their lives together.”

After stepping down as royals, Harry and Meghan moved to her hometown of Los Angeles, California, where they are currently quarantining in the $18 million mansion of Hollywood tycoon Tyler Perry. They are reportedly looking at homes in the area, indicating that they plan to stay in California for some time.
