Months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they would be stepping down as senior members of the British royal family, a source close to Kate Middleton is saying that she is “furious” with her brother and sister-in-law, as her work load has become overwhelming since they left.

The close friend of Kate and Prince William‘s told Tatler magazine that Kate’s workload has increased exponentially since Harry and Meghan moved to Los Angeles, as she has had to pick up their slack.

“William and Catherine really wanted to be hands-on parents and the Sussexes have effectively thrown their three children under a bus,” the insider said. The source added that Harry and Meghan were “so selfish” for making this decision, as it will change Kate and William’s family life for years to come.

“There goes their morning school runs as the responsibilities on them now are enormous,” the friend of the family said. “Kate is furious about the larger workload. Of course she’s smiling and dressing appropriately but she doesn’t want this. She’s working as hard as a top CEO, who has to be wheeled out all the time, without the benefits of boundaries and plenty of holidays.”

Another source who has a close friendship with Kate spoke out to reveal the fight that she had with Meghan that caused her relationship with her to go downhill. This insider said that Meghan and Kate went at it in 2018 at a wedding rehearsal prior to her marriage to Harry.

“It was a hot day and apparently there was a row over whether the bridesmaids should wear tights or not,” the source said. “Kate, following protocol, felt that they should. Meghan didn’t want them to.”

Kate then allegedly “put Meghan in her place,” publicly chastising her for being obnoxious to Kensington Palace staffers.

“In the palace, you hear numerous stories of the staff saying so-and-so is a nightmare and behaves badly but you never hear that about Kate,” the source explained.

Kate is said to possess a “ruthless survival streak” that makes her “well suited” to the life of a royal. Someone else close to the royal family described Kate as “impenetrable” and there is “nothing to dislike or like.”

This comes after it was revealed that Meghan and Harry are living in the $18 million Los Angeles mansion of Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry as they look for a mansion of their own in the area.
