As her 60th birthday neared, Debbie started to realize that she was in a beauty rut of sorts. With her big day getting closer and closer, she finally decided to do something about her look.

“This is a time I’m either gonna let my hair go completely grey or get the courage to set up the appointment and follow through with it,” she explained.

Debbie’s husband did not understand why she wanted to change up her looks, but her daughter encouraged her to move forward with it. She understood that this was never about Debbie wanting to look younger: it was instead about her wanting to be the best version of herself possible.

When Debbie came across the world of Christopher Hopkins, better known online as The Makeover Guy, she knew he was the perfect person to help her.

Soon enough, Debbie found herself at Christopher’s salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There, she said the four words that every hair stylist dreams of hearing: “Do whatever you want.” After hearing these magic words and realizing that Debbie was open to anything, Christopher decided to make her hair color “warm and spring-like” rather than gray or black.

He ended up giving her strawberry blonde shade with highlights that brought the focus to her eyes. He also transformed her face with the help of contour, makeup, and dyed brows. By the time Christopher was finished, Debbie could not believe how she looked!

“I don’t recognize myself,” Debbie exclaimed afterwards. “My family’s not going to recognize me, either!”

Video of Debbie’s transformation has since gone viral, being viewed over one million times. Social media users agreed that Debbie’s makeover was nothing short of incredible.

“Holy smokes this is incredible! Get the car ready, we all need to drive to Minnesota to see the magic man. I am at a loss for words. Just WOW,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Wow wow wow wow! Fabulous not just for this makeover. But it looks as if she got a face lift and lost 20 pounds. You’re a master!
