Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their last official day as senior members of the British royal family two months after they announced that they would be stepping down to move to North America. They have since moved to Los Angeles, California, where they are currently looking at homes in the hopes of living a quieter, more private life.

Though Harry and Meghan may think that their dreams will come true in L.A., longtime resident and television personality Sharon Osbourne is now speaking out to warn them that they are in for “a nightmare.”

“They actually moved to California…I don’t know why, it’s just so alien to me to think of the prince living here,” Osbourne said on the CBS morning show “The Talk.”

“If they were fed up with the press in the UK, they are really going to be fed up with the press living in LA,” she continued, according to the U.K. Express. “I just think it’s so foreign. I’m kind of disappointed, in a way, that Harry would end up here in LA.”

Osbourne went on to say that she hopes Harry and Meghan will reconsider and decide to move to a quieter city around Los Angeles.

“I hope they are going to move somewhere like Santa Barbara or something like that so that they can have somewhat of a normal existence,” Osbourne said. “But if they are going to live in LA, right in the centre, it’s going to be a nightmare for them with the press and the paparazzi. They would have no life at all.”

It is believed that the couple chose L.A. because it is the city where Meghan grew up, and where her mother Doria Ragland still lives. As a young adult, Meghan spent years trying to make it as an actress in L.A. before she moved to Canada to film her television show “Suits” prior to meeting Harry.

While it was initially reported that Harry and Meghan would be splitting their time between the U.K. and North America, it is now understood that they will be spending the vast majority of their time in the U.S. Despite the difficulties of the past few months, sources indicate that the couple is only looking forward right now.

“Harry is looking straight ahead at his future with his family,” one insider said. “They will be spending time in California…He’s not looking back.”
