The family of “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson suffered a terrifying ordeal on Friday when a gunman opened fire on their home.

Police say that the family was the target of a drive-by shooting in which eight to ten shots were fired on the home.

“We were pretty shook up,” Willie told told USA TODAY. “It looks like they were just spraying bullets across my property.”

“It was broad daylight,” he added. “Nobody was outside at the time, but everybody had been out about five minutes before. I had just gone to the store when it happened.”

Willie went on to say that he firmly believes the gunman targeted his family specifically.

“I’m 100 percent certain, but I don’t know why,” he said.

The incident was particularly terrifying given the fact that additional family members are staying with Willie due to the coronavirus pandemic. Reports of the shooting were later confirmed by Willie’s daughter Sadie.

“hi, yes the news is true if you’ve seen it. We had someone shoot at our property. Just wanted to say we are all okay,” Sadie, 22, wrote on Instagram.

“It shook us all up of course, but we are just so thankful everyone in our family is okay. Especially after one of the bullets flew through the window of my brothers home… The timing of where we were at the time was crazy protection because we had all just gone inside. We have been resting on Psalm 91 and each other’s gratitude for all being okay ❤️ thank you for your prayers.”

Fox News reported that police have since arrested Daniel King Jr. for opening fire on the Robertson home as well as one other residence.

He has been charged with aggravated assault, and it is unknown at this time whether he has obtained a lawyer.

One of the bullets reportedly went through the window of the bedroom in which Willie’s son John Luke Robertson lives with his wife, Mary Kate, and their infant son.

We thank God that the Robertson family made it through this ordeal with nobody being injured! Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with them as they try to recover from this.
