Country music star John Rich is doing his part to cheer Americans up during this difficult time by releasing a hilarious new coronavirus quarantine song called “Stay Home.”

Rich debuted “Stay Home,” which is now available everywhere, while appearing on “The Logan Sekulow ReProgram” radio show on Wednesday.

“I saw the President on TV going, ‘I just want all Americans to stay home. Just stay home. Just be good people and stay home. Just stay home,’” Rich said during the interview, according to Fox News. “And he kept saying that and I went, ‘Okay, that’s the public service announcement for America. I’m going to see if I can write it.’”

Rich went on to say that after getting some help from his friends, the song came together quickly.

“I called up my buddy Charlie (Pennachio) and my buddy T.J. (McDaniel), and then I called up Larry Gatlin of the Gatlin Brothers whose one of the silliest, craziest guys in the world and I got them all on a conference call… and in about 42 minutes the four of us had finished writing the song ‘Stay Home.’ Called up Kenny and Kenny rolled out of his chair laughing so hard and said, ‘we gotta record this now!’” he explained.

Rich added that while the coronavirus pandemic is extremely serious, it’s still important to find humor and fun in the situation in any way we can.

“It’s a terribly serious situation, obviously, but the flip side of it is, you look at just some of the absurdity of what’s going on right now in your house and for how long this is going to be going on,” Rich said. “We gotta have some kind of relief from that.”

Rich has hit the nail on the head here. In times of great uncertainty and fear such as these, it’s crucial that we stay positive and still find ways to have fun. We are all in this together right now, and since everyone is quarantined, the entire world will be able to relate to Rich’s new song. God bless him for taking the time to put smile on people’s faces at a time when positivity is hard to come by.
