Country music star Brad Paisley just celebrated the release of his new song “No I In Beer,” which honors workers on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic, by dropping in on virtual happy hours to surprise fans.

The song was originally written by Paisley and co-writer Kelley Lovelace in 2018, but the chorus of “We’re all in this together” made the star think that now was the best time to release it.

“As this pandemic began, everybody adopted this catchphrase, ‘We’re all in this together,’” Paisley said, according to Fox News. “And I had this song rolling around in my head.”

Wanting to go further than just releasing the drinking song, Paisley decided to raise his glass directly with fans by dropping by on their Zoom virtual happy hours!

“It’s not just a ‘We’ll get through whatever you’re going through’ thing,” said Paisley. “It’s literally a rallying cry. It’s a fight song.”

He added that he changed some of the lyrics of the song to give shoutouts to those on the frontline fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, including nurses, first responders, farmers and truck drivers.

“It’s a just a shout-out to the people who are keeping this country going,” he said.

Paisley, 47, also had a blast enjoying virtual drinks with fans on Zoom.

“It’s inspiring,” said Paisley. “They are just staying connected anyway they can.”

Paisley has also been stepping up to help those affected by coronavirus through his free grocery store in Nashville called The Store, which is now making deliveries to those in need. Paisley’s producer Luke Wooten even recruited his recording interns to make deliveries to a local retirement home.

“They went down the hallways and left food at the doorways of each of these elderly folks,” said Paisley. “And then as the volunteers got to the end of the hall, all the folks came out of their doors and gave them a standing ovation. And it brought them to tears.”

God bless Paisley for stepping up to do his part in helping us all get through this crisis with smiles on our faces. We need more celebrities with big hearts like his in the world!
