Duane Chapman, better known as Dog The Bounty Hunter, is saying that he would like to marry his new girlfriend, rancher Francie Frane, less than a year after the death of his wife Beth.

Dog told The Sun that he is loving his romance with Francie, who he met when her husband Bob did some yard work at his Colorado home. Bob ended up passing away a few months before Beth lost her battle with cancer last June, and after losing both their spouses, Dog and Francie began to date.

“It’s going really good,” Dog, 67, said of the relationship. “It’s a God relationship because it’s just like a miracle. It’s a miracle how we met and it’s a miracle how great we’re getting along.”

Dog went on to add that he wants to marry Francie, 51, saying that while there will “never be another Mrs Dog,” he wants her to be “the last Mrs Chapman.”

Dog’s family reportedly approves of the romance, with his daughter Lyssa Chapman saying that “Beth would approve.”

“They are both so happy together and they are good for each other. Francie has been very respectful to all the kids — and to Beth’s memory — and my dad is the same way with Bob and their children. They go to church three times a week and dad is trying to give up smoking — she is a good woman for my dad,” she told The Sun.

“He’s the happiest I’ve seen him in a long time – he’s so in love and wants to spend the rest of his life with Francie. They are both lost their spouses to cancer so they know what it’s like to go through that and they are helping each other through it,” Lyssa added. “Beth would approve – I honestly believe that Beth sent Francie for my dad – I feel like Beth and Bob are up there watching down over them.”

Fans will likely be shocked by this, however, given the fact that Dog has acknowledged that Beth made him promise never to remarry prior to her passing.

“For two to three years, she knew this might happen,” Dog told Entertainment Tonight after Beth’s death. “So she would say, ‘Who is going to sit next to you?’ And I said, ‘No one.'”

When Beth said, “Big Daddy, you better not let another girl take my place,” Dog said he told her, “I won’t.”
