Yesterday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes led his team to victory in the Super Bowl. Now, a story has come to light about Mahomes that shows just what kind of a person he really is.
Lawmaker Jason Kander revealed on Twitter that a few weeks ago, Mahomes paid the bill of an entire restaurant in Kansas City because the patrons had allowed him to eat there in peace with his girlfriend. As he got up to leave, Mahomes reportedly turned around and told everyone, “Thanks for letting us enjoy our dinner. This is why I love Kansas City. You guys are awesome!”

This should tell you everything that you need to know about who Mahomes is as a person. Unlike many other famous athletes, Mahomes is a proud Christian who is open about his love for God.
“Faith has always been big with me,” he said before the Super Bowl, according to Fox4KC. He went on to say that while he is playing football for the people of Kansas City, he is also playing for God.

Obviously everyone recognized them, but nobody interrupted them at all, allowing them to enjoy a peaceful meal. They paid their bill and started to head out the door, and still nobody is jumping up to ask for a selfie or an autograph or anything.

“Obviously I want to win every game, but I’m glorifying him every single time I’m out there,” Mahomes explained.
In the end, Mahomes believes his devotion to Christ is what has made him the man he is today.
“As long as I’m doing everything the right way and the way that he would want me to do it, then I can walk off the field with my head held high and be able to be the man that I am,” the football star said. He later added, “I understand that he’s given me a lot of blessings in my life, and I’m trying to maximize them and glorify him.”
God bless you, Patrick Mahomes!
