Duane Chapman, who is better known to his fans as Dog The Bounty Hunter, shocked everyone this week by seemingly proposing to the ex-girlfriend of his son just seven months after his own wife Beth passed away.
“The Dr. Oz Show” took to Twitter last night to post a promo of their show that is set to air on Monday. In the clip, Chapman can be seen asking Moon Angell to marry him, much to the surprise of his fans.
“Moon Angell, will you marry me?” Chapman says in the video as Angell looks back at him with her mouth open in shock.

Beth passed away in June of last year at the age of 51 following a battle with throat cancer, and Chapman said afterwards that he was so depressed that he contemplated suicide, according to Page Six. He became especially close to Angell in the months after Beth’s death, much to the dismay of his family members, who have publicly expressed their disdain for her.
“I have lots of enemies right now,” Angell admits in the “Dr. Oz” clip.
Earlier this month, Chapman’s 32 year-old daughter Lyssa took to social media to slam Angell.
“If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your step- mom died what would you do?” she wrote. “If you went to your mothers closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do? #ItsNotWhenOrWhyItsWho.”
“My dad is a GROWN A** MAN,” Lyssa continued. “His money. His dynasty. But you can guarantee that my name is not going down in history as a person who supported this.”
After this outburst, Chapman spoke out to open up about his relationship with Angell.
“Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her,” he told Radar Online. “There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn’t mean I have to be so sad.”
Chapman revealed last year that Beth had made him promise never to remarry prior to her death.
“For two to three years, she knew this might happen,” Dog told Entertainment Tonight. “So she would say, ‘Who is going to sit next to you?’ And I said, ‘No one.’” When she said, “Big Daddy, you better not let another girl take my place,” he promised, “I won’t.” After all, who could take Beth’s place when she’s still with her man? “Even though she is not physically there,” Dog said, “mentally and spiritually, she is there.”
Sources close to Chapman have told TMZ that he might not have broken his promise to Beth after all, as the “Dr. Oz” proposal to Angell may not be legitimate. These sources claim that Chapman was “overly emotional and got caught up in the moment” while taping the talk show, and that he is not actually engaged to her.
It looks as if fans will need to tune into “The Dr. Oz Show” on Monday to find out what is really going on here.
