A brother and sister are being hailed as heroes after they managed to chase down the man who kidnapped their little brother.

The Wright siblings (10 year-old Brenden, 8 year-old Delicia, and 22 month-old Owen) were playing in a park nearby their babysitter’s home in Sprague, Washington when they were suddenly approached by a strange man. Even though the man started talking to the kids, Brenden and Delicia had been taught not to speak to strangers, so they said nothing back to him.

Despite this, the man kept talking, saying that he previously worked as a babysitter so it was fine to talk to him. The older siblings still would not talk to him, and they began calling for Owen to get into his stroller so they could go back to their babysitter’s house. Sensing something was wrong, Owen tried to run towards his siblings, but that’s when the man grabbed him.

The man started to run with Owen, but Brenden and Delicia weren’t about to let him get away with their little brother. Sprinting with everything they had in them, the siblings managed to keep up with the man as they gave chase.

Delicia managed to get closest to the man, with Brenden right behind her, but she soon realized that she was not going to be able to catch him herself. That’s why she began screaming at the top of her lungs, hoping someone else would help them.

Teenagers Andrew and Isaac heard her calls, and they started chasing the man as well. By then, the kidnapper was worn out, and he decided to drop Owen as soon as he saw the teens on his trail. Though he was shaken, Owen was thankfully unharmed.

When Delicia and Brenden gave a description of the “man” who took Owen, Andrew and Isaac recognized him as a 15 year-old who attended their school. The teenage kidnapper was soon apprehended, and he is now in a juvenile detention center.

Delicia and Brenden’s parents said that they are incredibly proud of how brave their children were in saving their little brother. Find out more about this harrowing story in the video below.
