Queen Elizabeth II has been on the British throne for 67 years, and during that time, she has travelled all over the world. Now, the surprising country she’s been to the most has been revealed, as has the one she’s never been to.

Since taking the throne in 1952, the Queen has travelled to over 120 different countries. However, the country that she’s been to the most is actually Canada, which she’s visited 27 times since her coronation. Royal fans will not be surprised by this because as the Head of the Commonwealth, Elizabeth possesses the sworn allegiance of all Canadian ministers and armed forces, and passports are issued in her name in the country.

While the Queen has been to many countries, there is one that she has not been to that may come as a surprise to you. Elizabeth has not actually ever been to is Israel, which she has never gone to because the British government forbids it due to safety concerns. Last year, her grandson Prince William became the first British royal to visit the country, breaking a longstanding tradition the Queen still upholds of avoiding the country due to tensions between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Another country that the Queen will not visit is Greece. Though she did travel there as a child, she has not visited the country since taking the throne. Her husband Prince Philip was actually born in Greece, and rumor has it that her husband’s rocky history with the country, which he and his family fled as a baby, might be the reason she won’t go there.

“Prince Philip doesn’t like Greece because they put his father [Prince Andrew] on trial, and he might have been executed,” explained royal historian Hugo Vicker.
