The internet is losing it’s mind this week after a video went viral showing a miniature horse sitting on a passenger’s lap during a flight from Chicago to Omaha.
Evan Nowak took to Twitter to post a video that shows the horse on a packed American Airlines plane. He added that he noticed the animal shortly after boarding the aircraft which was traveling from Chicago to Omaha. The pony was fast asleep on his owner’s lap as Evan looked on in shock.
“At this time we would like to begin boarding with any active duty military, families traveling with children under the age of 3, and horses,” Evan captioned the video.

After the flight landed in Omaha, another traveler took video of the same woman walking her horse through the airport.
“What a time to be alive. GTHO (get the hell out) with this,” the traveller captioned the video. “Where does this pony fit on the plane? Does she get her own row because anyone sitting in hers, it’s going to be tight!!!”
Believe it or not, new American Airlines guidelines released on August 15 allow passengers to bring miniature horses on planes, as long as they are legally designated as service animals.
“With respect to animal species, we indicated that we would focus our enforcement efforts on ensuring that the most commonly used service animals (dogs, cats, and miniature horses) are accepted for transport,” the US Department of Transport said in a statement.
