Princess Charlotte had her first day of school at Thomas’ Battersea this past week, and to mark the occasion, Kensington Palace released a truly adorable photo of the 4 year-old royal.

In the photo, Charlotte can be seen smiling in her school uniform with her older brother Prince George, who started at Thomas’ in 2017.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a photograph of Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning,” Kensington Palace captioned the image. “The photo was taken shortly before Their Royal Highnesses left for Thomas’s Battersea.”

Charlotte arrived at her first day with her brother and her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton, who looked gorgeous in a Michael Kors floral dress. Kate had to have been particularly excited to be there for Charlotte’s first day since she missed George’s first day of school because she was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness), during her third pregnancy with Prince Louis.

The only member of the family to not be there for Charlotte’s first day was Louis, but we can all expect him to follow in his older siblings’ footsteps in the coming years.

While at Thomas,’ Charlotte will enjoy a varied curriculum that will involve her learning everything from Computing to Drama. She previously attended Willocks Nursery School, which is closer to her home in Kensington Palace.
