Fans everywhere were ecstatic a few weeks ago when it was revealed that beloved singer Kelly Clarkson was being given her own talk show on NBC. Now, new details have come to light about her upcoming talk show that has fans feeling even more excited about it.

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” is a daily one-hour television program that is scheduled to premiere on September 9 on NBC at 3 p.m., leading into The Ellen Degeneres Show on most networks. The show has already been posting sneak peaks on Instagram, and it looks a little different than a normal talk show. For example, there isn’t going to be a desk, giving the show a more comfy, at-home vibe.

Hitting all the high notes… #thekellyclarksonshow

Clarkson is planning to stay true to her roots by heavily featuring music in her show. Specifically, she will be opening each show by covering a song suggested by the audience. Her house band will be the actual band she tours with, so they are more than ready to perform with her daily.

Clarkson’s goal is to use her show to “shine a light on organizations and people that get overlooked all the time,” so she’ll be featuring everyday people as well as the usual celebrity guests. In addition, there will be tons of audience participation in her show, as she will be spending time talking with them between the opening song and her first guest.

On the pilot, Clarkson interviewed actress Chrissy Metz and actor Terry Crews. Former “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell has even teased a reunion between him and Clarkson as well as his fellow ex-judged Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.

“We just talked about that earlier. With Paula [Abdul] and Randy [Jackson]. Yeah, the three of us,” Cowell said.
