During an interview with Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, legendary actress Joan Collins said that the “world has gone nuts” in regards to the amount of gender options that there now are.

While speaking to hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, the 86 year-old actress said that it is “ludicrous” that there are now more than one hundred official genders.

“I find that very peculiar quite frankly, I have three grandchildren in their teens and I don’t think that’s happening to them,” Collins said. “I know there’s LGBTQ – but how can there be 100 it’s ludicrous!”

When asked why she thinks the gender situation has become so “complicated,” Collins replied, “The world’s gone nuts! I have no idea it’s ridiculous.”

Morgan, who seemed delighted by Collins’ comments, said that he gets up in the morning and thinks that he doesn’t know what is going on in the world.

“I have American grandchildren and I said do you have transgender children in your class and asked if they have to use different pronouns,” Collins continued. “They said yes we use ‘they and thou,’ and they were very casual about it.”

While appearing on the show, Collins also talked about the new drama series that will tell the story of her and her sister Jackie.

“It’s going to be called Joan and Jackie, it follows us from when we were teenagers until we hit in Hollywood in the eighties,” Collins said. “It is based when Jackie was the top of the bestsellers and I won Best Actress at the Golden Globes. It’ll be around 10 episodes.”
