It has just been announced that the 2020 Super Bowl will be co-headlined by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.

NFL, Pepsi and Roc Nation made the announcement that the two superstar singers, who have released songs in both English and Spanish, will take the stage to perform on February 2 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Both Jennifer and Shakira took to social media to post photos of themselves standing next to each other in celebration of the announcement.

“Going to see the world on fire,” Jennifer wrote.

“It doesn’t get any bigger than this!” wrote Shakira. “So excited about getting on that #SuperBowlLIV #PepsiHalftime stage!”

“These two remarkable artists are setting a new precedent for what this show can become, and we’re confident that this will be an incredible performance for the ages,” said Todd Kaplan, Pepsi’s vice president of marketing.

Jennifer and Shakira each later opened up about what an honor it is to perform at this particular halftime show.

“And now it’s made even more special not only because it’s the NFL’s 100th anniversary, but also because I am performing with a fellow Latina,” Jennifer said. “I can’t wait to show what us girls can do on the world’s biggest stage.”

Shakira, who will turn 43 on the day of the performance, described this as “a true American dream.”

“I’m so honored to be taking on one of the world’s biggest stages in the company of a fellow female artist to represent Latinos and Latinas from the U.S. and all over the world — and to top it off, on my birthday,” she said.

Watch them both talk more about this in the video below.
