All of us played with the Little Tikes toy car when we were kids. They were tons of fun, as they allowed us to pretend we were grownups driving a real life vehicle. Now, you can relive your childhood by driving your very own red and yellow tike-mobile!

Geoff and John Bitmead are two brothers who were revisiting their childhoods when they got a brilliant idea. As they walked down memory lane, the brothers decided to see if they could fit into one of those iconic red and yellow toy cars that they remembered.

The brothers ended up going all out to build a full-sized version of the car, calling it the “Big Tike.” Instead of being powered by feet, the Big Tike has an engine as well as headlights, indicators, and everything else it needs to be completely road legal.

Geoff and John based their design on the Daewoo Matiz after they noticed the similarities. After t1,000 hours of hard work, and over £4,000 (nearly $5,000), the brothers finally finished their creation.

The brothers even earned a Guinness World Record, as they are officially the largest Cozy Coupe in the world. Four years ago, they sold their creation on eBay for £21,500 (around $33,000 at the time).

“We have covered over 5,000 miles in the past two years driving around shows and charity events in the UK,” the description for the car reads, “and apart from it not being the fastest car on the planet has been the most incredible fun with people queuing up to take photos along dual carriageways and highways on every trip.”
