On the 18th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks last week, a Florida teacher captured an image that is quickly going viral, touching the hearts of Americans everywhere.

Matt Snow was on his way to work on Wednesday morning when he saw a cloud formation that looked like a firefighter running toward an angel.

“It might be because today is 9/11, but this is the cloud formation I saw driving into work today. Doesn’t it look like a firefighter running with a hose and an angel with the sun perfectly behind it?” Matt wrote on Facebook, adding the hashtags “Never Forget” and “Patriot Day.”

Matt later added that he was completely stunned when he saw the clouds.

“I couldn’t believe what I just saw,” he said. “My wife and I are both teachers and we drive that road every morning with our kids. Out of all days, today it looked like that.”

Wednesday was the eighteenth anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people. Of all the first responders and police officers who died on 9/11, 343 were firefighters.

“We had a very strong sense we would lose firefighters and that we were in deep trouble,” said Peter Hayden, of the Fire Department of New York. “But we had estimates of 25,000 to 50,000 civilians, and we had to try to rescue them.”

The photos of this cloud formation serve as a reminder that even in the worst of times, God is still there watching over us. We will never forget 9/11 and the thousands of brave souls that we lost that day.
