A zoo in China is making headlines around the world for their unique practice of putting people in cages and letting animals walk around free.

The Lehe Ledu Wildlife Zoo puts people in cages and allows the animals are free to remain in their natural habitat. From the cages, people can give food to the zoo animals, and watch them jump up and down against the cage. They even use live chickens to bait creatures like lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!).

The goal of the zoo is to give people the thrill of being attacked without putting them in any real danger. They are told to always keep their hands inside the cage so that no harm can come to them.

“We wanted to give our visitors the thrill of being stalked and attacked by the big cats but with, of course, none of the risks,” said a spokesman for the zoo. “The guests are warned to keep their fingers and hands inside the cage at all times because a hungry tiger wouldn’t know the difference between them and breakfast.”

Though some people don’t like the idea of getting so close to dangerous animals, others love it, and the zoo has quickly become incredibly popular. In fact, when it opened back in 2015, tickets sold out in three months!

Since it’s usually people who put animals in cases, social media users all over the world are loving seeing the roles get reversed. If you’re someone who loves zoos and wants to experience a cool twist on one, you might want to pay this zoo a visit!
