Something magical just happened at a Tennessee McDonald’s, and it’s touching the hearts of internet users everywhere.

Heidi Goforth was at the McDonald’s ordering food for her son, but when she got to the window to pay, she was met with a shocking surprise. The woman in front of her had paid for her breakfast, and the reason why is incredible.

In a note written on her receipt, the woman explained that she is the mother of a member of the Air Force who seems to be on duty. Since she couldn’t buy him breakfast, she decided to buy Heidi’s instead.

“Good morning! I just had this happen to me. It touched my heart so much!” Heidi wrote on Facebook as she shared the receipt. “I was buying breakfast for my son at McDonald’s and the sweet lady in front of me, in the drive-thru, paid for my meal. I pray that you see your son soon! He’s lucky to have a mom that loves him so much! God bless you and him! Tell him ‘thank you’ for his service.”

Caryn Scherm Hill, a Facebook user claiming to be the Air Force mom, came upon the post and penned a touching reply.

“It was my pleasure. Kindness can create such a wave of emotion. How extra special that you were getting breakfast for your son!” she wrote, adding that her son is at Basic Military Training and has another 17 days to go.

“I briefly saw it when I woke but had to run to work,” she added. “My husband texted me the news clip while I was working [the] night shift. I cried like a baby when I read the comments from you and others! Not an hour goes by that we don’t think of our son. He is going to laugh when he reads this.”

Heidi did not see Caryn’s response until she was asked about it by reporters.

“My heart is melting!” she said. “I could not imagine letting go of my son like that and imagining what he would be going through. I am super grateful that she chose me to do that for and I am overwhelmed with the outpouring of gratitude, support and love that everyone else has shown and expressed! God definitely wanted both of us to see what great work he does for us that day by bringing this sweet gesture to light.”
