Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle just shared a very exciting update about their venture Give Us A Shout, which the “Fab Four” launched back in May.
Give Us A Shout is a charity telephone operation service that aims to give help to those who need it. People can call the service if they need help with anything, be it a serious crisis, help with coming up with a longterm plan, or even just basic support. This week the royals revealed that Give Us A Shout has reached 100,000 conversations, which just goes to show how successful it has been.
“Congratulations to the incredible team of @giveusashoutinsta volunteers, who have now taken 100,000 text conversations,” Kensington Palace posted on Instagram.
Harry and Meghan also posted about the achievement on their Sussex Royal Instagram page, writing, “Sending a big shout out and congratulations to the @giveusashoutinsta team.”
“Life can feel overwhelming for so many reasons,” they added. “Our Crisis Volunteers are there for you 24/7 & will talk to you about whatever is troubling you: stress, relationships, anxiety, loneliness, sexuality, bullying, self-harm & depression.”
This is a major achievement for all four of the royals, especially since the charity has only been in operation for a short time. It also comes one month after it was announced that William and Harry would be going their separate ways from the Royal Foundation, which had been a project the two worked on for years. William and Kate will continue to lead this foundation, while Harry and Meghan are currently setting up their own charitable organization, which will be called Sussex Royal The Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
