A heart-stopping video is going viral this week showing the moment a two year-old jumped from the top bunk and landed on his head while copying his mom, who was leaping into the arms of his dad.

Little Gabriel Bonor was gleefully copying his mother Sveta Ananas as she jumped into the arms of his father Andrei. At the time, his parents were filming slow motion TikTok video in their home city of Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Sceta can be seen leaping forward with her arms in an acrobatic embrace, but behind her, Gabriel is preparing to jump from the top bunk himself. It’s absolutely excruciating to watch Gabriel fall headfirst into the fabric, his head grinding into the fabric as his body keeps moving.

Thankfully, Gabriel suffered no serious injuries and was fine afterwards, but the his parents have been widely criticized as the video went viral.

“Wow! That poor kid. Parents are too self absorbed that they neglect their child,” one social media user wrote, with another adding, “The child may have had a smile on his face but this doesn’t excuse the parents being neglectful. What if your son really injured himself? Shame on both of you.”

“So busy showing everyone that they are sexy young things that they cannot be bothered to look after the most precious little being they created together,” a third user wrote. “If they truly love each other, he would be their focal point. Not saying you have to be a helicopter parent but the fact that they think everyone wants to see any of this and ignore what’s going on in the foreground is beyond comprehension.”
