A giant tabby cat named BeeJay has become a viral sensation after photos of him went viral on social media.

Nicknamed “a chonk of a chonk,” BeeJay weighs a massive 26 pounds and is currently being housed at the Morris Animal Refugee in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 2 year-old cat will likely soon find a forever home, however, as he has stolen the hearts of internet users everywhere ever since the rescue first posted photos of him online.

“He’s gorgeous… and by the looks of his face, probably part Maine Coon. If I was near Philadelphia I’d snap him up,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “I will adopt him. I have four cats already and would love to give this a guy a loving home. Please DM me.”

“I want to hug him, but my arms just aren’t long enough to reach from here,” a third user commented, with a fourth writing, “so many people are applying, they crashed the website. I cannot stop laughing at this cat!”

The post Gaines so much attention that the rescue just gave an update, saying that they were “overwhelmed by the number of wonderful people ready to give Mr. B his fur-ever home.” As of last Friday, BeeJay had helped to raise over $1,000 for the shelter.
