Many couples can remember the exact moment they fell in love, and for Nicole Cara, that moment was when she literally fell into Seth Jones’ arms.

Back in 2015, Nicole went out with friends on a hiking trip in Moab, Utah, which is known for its’ gorgeous red rock formations and landscapes that make up Arches National Park. Seth was one of the other members of the group, and he ended up saving Nicole’s life that day.

As the group repelled 1oo feet down Teardrop Canyon, Seth waited at the bottom to make sure everyone made it down safely. While Nicole was coming down, she slipped, lost hold of the rope, and fell 10 feet. Thankfully, Seth was in just the right spot to catch her.

At first, Nicole was embarrassed by what happened, but it immediately brought her closer to Seth. After the trip, Seth and Nicole started dating, and they have been inseparable ever since.

Seth knew that Nicole was the one for him, and he decided to propose to her at the very same spot where they met and he saved her life. He set up another trip to Moab, enlisting the help of his friend Tyson Henderson, a talented videographer known for his proposal videos. Nicole had no idea what the true purpose of the trip was.

As the group rappelled down Teardrop Canyon, the same spot Nicole fell the year before, and this time she came down last. As she rappelled down, she started noticing signs of what was happening.

“With only 10 feet of air left between me and Seth, I noticed flowers…and candles… laid perfectly aligned creating a pathway. I realized once Seth began helping me unclip what was about to happen,” Nicole recalled on her blog.

Once Nicole reached the ground, Seth handed her a bouquet of daisies and reminded her that this was the one-year anniversary of her fall as she started to tear up.

“I was so surprised and shocked at what was going on, but I have known my answer for weeks now,” she said.

“You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I love you more than anything in the world.” Seth said. “Nicole, will you marry me?”

She did not hesitate to say yes.

Four years later, Nicole and Seth are married and just as happy as ever! Congratulations to the happy couple!
