An incredible video is going viral this week showing a caregiver step in to help a man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease after he can’t recall a song.

The video opens with the Alzheimer’s patient saying that while he loves the Bolero genre of music, he can’t recall any songs. Hearing this, his caregiver immediately started singing a few bars, at which time the patient was able to join in with him. The resulting duet between the pair is pure magic, and it has since gone viral, touching the hearts of people all over the world.

Social media users from all over the world have been touched by the video.

“This is heartwarming and wholesome,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “So special❤️ I hate this disease! But this warms my heart.”

“This is beautiful to see & hear,” a third user commented online.

Unfortunately, there are currently over five million people living with Alzheimer’s disease in the United States right now, and 83,000 die from the disease every year. Videos like this show just how important the caregivers are to people who suffer from this devastating illness, as they can remind patients of the things that once brought them so much joy. We can only hope that in the coming years, strides will be made that lead to a cure for this disease being discovered. We have already lost far too many people to Alzheimer’s, and we cannot afford to lose any more.
