During their time hosting the fourth hour of the “Today” show, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb loved doing a segment called “Ambush Makeover.” Now, one of the clips has resurfaced and is going viral.

The people who would get the makeovers were nominated by their families, and they had no idea what was about to happen. The makeovers were handled by style expert Jill Martin and celebrity hairstylist Louis Licari, who gave them a completely different look.

The two women being made over in the video below were chosen outside the studio by Jill and Louis personally. Lenice is a 58-year-old accountant from Charlotte, North Carolina, and her best friend of 52 years named Cheryl got her up at 5:30am that morning to volunteer for makeovers. They even held a sign that said “Ambush Needed” in the hopes of being picked.

Cheryl wanted Lenice to get a makeover so that she could look just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. When Cheryl took off her blindfold and saw her friend’s new look, she could not believe her eyes!

The next person to be made over was Bonnie, who had been a library clerk for the last 47 years and was in New York City to celebrate her 60th birthday. She was there with her husband and two daughters, who were eager to see her new look.

Bonnie was skeptical and cautious at first, but she ended up loving the results of her makeover. When her husband saw it, he was visibly impressed at how his wife looked!

Bonnie’s gray hair was gone and replaced by a shorter, neutral blonde look. The makeover took decades off of her age!

Check out the makeovers for yourself below.
