Few things are cuter than seeing little babies dressed up in various costumes.  Recently, a hospital in Pennsylvania dressed up the babies there as little pickles, and the results could not be any more adorable!

Staffers at PMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh dressed four babies up as pickles last week, and photos of them have quickly gone viral. They decided to do this in celebration of the city’s fourth annual Picklesburgh event, an award-winning food festival that is all about pickles.

Each of the babies were dressed up in green blankets and caps knitted by a maternity ward nurse. This was the first time babies at the hospital took part in the event, but after how well it went over, I doubt it will be the last!

The hospital released a statement saying the babies were dressed as “their mother’s favorite pregnancy craving” on July 22, along with tiny onesies that read “Special Dill-ivery.” UPMC spokeswoman Amy Charley explained that this was not the first time the hospital had dressed their babies up in costumes.

“UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital has a strong history of dressing our newborns up to celebrate a variety of events,” she said. “For example, this past Christmas we had an ugly sweater party.”

“Our patients and staff love the nursery events and they have become part of the culture at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital,” Amy added.  “We have patients hoping they deliver during one of our nursery photo shoots!”

Amy went on to say that staffers have been pleasantly surprised by what a “sensation” this new photoshoot has been.

What a cute idea. We hope they do this every year!
