True friendships last a lifetime, regardless of how long it has been since the friends have seen each other. Now, a new video is showing this in a beautiful way.

An elderly veteran named Willie had not seen his old Army buddy Ken for 58 years, yet he never forgot the incredible bond they shared. After all that time, Willie’s daughter Charlotte Clifton finally decided that they needed to see each other again.

Charlotte managed to track Ken down, and she convinced him to come pop by for a surprise visit. As another relative recorded, Willie went to open the door, only to see another man asking for “Tex,” which was his nickname in his Army days.

Willie’s jaw dropped when he saw Ken standing there after not seeing him for over half a century!

Both men burst into tears as all their emotions came pouring out.

“I thought I’d never see you again,” Ken said as he cried.

It was clear to everyone that their bond had not dissipated at all in the 58 years they had been apart. Charlotte uploaded video of the reunion to YouTube, and it brought people all over the world to tears as it went viral.

“I consider myself a tough guy but this just had me in tears I sure do miss my army buddies maybe I’ll look them up,” one viewer wrote, with another adding, “I can only imagine the feeling he got when he saw him, a bond that can’t be broken.”
